About Pine Belt Humanists…

Pine Belt Humanists is a community of people from across the Pine Belt region of Mississippi who value reason, compassion, and the inherent dignity of every person. We believe that living ethically means caring for one another, supporting our neighbors, and working together to make our community a better place.

Our group was founded in May 2026, when a handful of people came together in search of something many of us had been missing: a welcoming, non-religious community built around friendship, meaningful conversation, and opportunities to make a positive difference in the world. Since then, our group has grown quickly, and we're excited to continue building a place where everyone feels welcome.

We envision a Pine Belt where secular people can express themselves openly and without judgement, find genuine connection, and make a positive impact through service. We are committed to fostering a welcoming environment for humanists, atheists, agnostics, freethinkers, and anyone who values reason, curiosity, and kindness.

Whether you've identified as a humanist for years or you're simply curious about humanism, we welcome you.

Thanks for visiting, and we hope to see you at an upcoming event!
