As the new school year gets underway, we're coming together to support local students through our Pine Belt Humanists Hygiene Kit Drive.

Our goal is to assemble and distribute 200 hygiene kits to children attending public schools across the Pine Belt and we are halfway there! These kits will help ease the financial burden of back-to-school shopping for local families while ensuring students have essential personal care items they need to feel confident and ready to learn.

The project has received an important boost from the American Humanist Association, which generously donated $400 to help Pine Belt Humanists prepare 80 additional hygiene kits for local students.

How you can help

There are several easy ways to contribute:

*Purchase items from our Amazon Wish List and have them shipped directly to our committee member.

*Purchase the requested items locally and bring them to one of our monthly meetings.

*Drop off donations at Hub City Mutual Aid on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays from 2:00–4:00 p.m.

*Prefer to let us do the shopping? You can also contribute by purchasing an Amazon gift card through the wish list.

*Share our graphic on social media or via email to help spread the word about our drive.

We're planning to assemble all 200 kits on August 30, with distribution to schools throughout the Pine Belt in early September 2026.
